Musical Expression

I found an old piano book that is worn from use. The book is from when I was a child. My beloved first piano teacher Mrs. Hallett taught me the importance of musical phrasing, dynamics and expression. You can see the music is all marked up with notes to remember as practicing. It is our goal as musicians to feel the music and bring our listeners to feel emotion from the music we play or sing. Johann Sebastian Bach and his children created elegant, timeless pieces for all ages. Even if classical music isn't your favorite musical genre taking some time to learn some of these songs will grow ability and depth as a musician.
